Hello Kevin Rome Ambol, it’s a pleasure to have you with us for this interview. Congratulations on your award at last season (Season 5) of the “Indie World Film Festival”.

Q: Your new movie is “The Graveyard Owner”; in a few words, what is it about?

A: The Graveyard Owner is a satirical take on vengeance. Never commit iniquities that would be your funeral. The Graveyard Owner was blackmailed by a potential buyer by threatening his family mainly the sister if He wont negotiate with them. Eventually, He was killed along with her sister. Mysteriously, The killers of the Graveyard Owner were also killed. What’s left is the killer’s 2 daughters who witnessed the Owner’s death. the Eldest is on her graduation with her granma leaving the youngest alone. She was being haunted by the Graveyard Owner’s Spirit until she collapse out of fear.

Q: When did you plan to do this film ?

A: This is a plan before our good friend Mr. Elmer Sr. passed away. He died from his sickness and I promised myself to finish this film as a tribute to his death. He was a Wonderful and Respectful Person. May he rest in peace.

Q: What got you into filmmaking in the first place, and did you receive any formal training on the subject?

A: What inspired me is the Art of making it. I have scene how a film was made for the first time back in 2010 and said to myself, I want to also make films, with a purpose of spreading Spiritual Awareness.

Q: What can you tell us about your film work prior to this film?

A: I made “The Proselyte” which is my first film after a 10-year Hiatus due to commitment and studies. Coming from a hiatus led me with so many ideas for a film.

Q: Can you explain or tell us some of the important elements of this film that makes it interesting?

A: What is interesting with this film is not your typical voiced narration. It is something a viewer can interact through them being a storyteller. Also, This film will make you wonder if revenge is somewhat the right thing or the wrong thing to do.

Q: How big was your team and what were the cameras that you used?

A: My team is composed of 2 Technical and Lighting conductor, a Make up Artist, A Casting and Location manager and me as the Head Creative Director. The camera used was DSLR to impose the reality of the story.

Q: Directors (and indeed actors) who inspire you and what are your favourite movies?

A: I would say Directors like Quentin Tarantino, Wes Anderson, and even Ari Aster who take risks in Filmmaking and has their own genre in telling their stories. Favorite Movies? Anything that involves suspense and plottwist.

Q: Where can people see your work?

A: It is not yet available for public viewing.

Q: What are your future projects?

A: I am currently finishing a Horror Comedy film and is starting an Animated Short film. Just finished a Vertifilm and was Selected in Czech Republic. I hope soon I can send my Films to your future festivals.
