Hello Hamid Reza Mahmoudi Mehrizi, it’s a pleasure to have you with us for this interview. Congratulations on your award at last season of the “Casablanca Film Factory Awards”.
Q: Your new movie is “Lonely Season”; in a few words, what is it about?
A: The film is driven by the sacrifice of a loving wife. that his wife had an accident and needs care, and during the story we find out a strange secret and…

Q: When did you plan to do this film?
A: I wanted to make this film for about 5 years.
Q: What got you into filmmaking in the first place, and did you receive any formal training on the subject?
A: who started my artistic activity in high school with the encouragement of a teacher. During high school, I was one of the members of the theater group and began writing different stories. After the end of high school, I began and completed filmmaking classes with the attendance of well-known masters of the artist, called Masoud Kimiai and Hamid Samandrian. After that, I started to film making….
Q: What can you tell us about your film work prior to this film?
A: I was mostly busy writing stories and screenplays. I was very active and did several other short works, mostly to achieve the big goal in the final short film.
Q: Can you explain or tell us some of the important elements of this film that makes it interesting?
A: I am more looking for real and social stories. This story is also based on a true story from the social reality of Iranian society.
Q: How big was your team and what were the cameras that you used?
A: We are a group that has been working together for years. I try to make short films in the best way. Thank you very much to all my friends for accompanying me. This movie was made with Sony Alpha7 camera.

Q: Directors (and indeed actors) who inspire you and what are your favourite movies?
A: I am mostly a fan of classic works. From my favorite director Stilberg. Haneke. Tarantino. I can name Fellini. My favorite movie is 8.5 Fellini.
Q: Where can people see your work?
A: All the people of the world can watch my films in any festival. I am happy that big companies help us to broadcast Iranian films.
Q: What are your future projects?
A: My future project in the future will be a long drama and romance. I worked on this writing for several years. I hope the conditions will be met. I can make this movie.
