Awards announced for the third season of the ‘Indie World Film Festival’ which focuses to celebrate Film Makers and Creators around the world, who take a risk and do experiments in Film Making. The festival holds a screening for our hand-selected jury members, made up of industry personnel and film fans, where we showcase some of that month’s nominated films. After the screening is over, the jury members vote to decide the winners. Screenings are a jury-member only event, and are not open to the general public. This is a Malta-based jury-member-only event and is not open to the general public.

‘Beacon’ (US), directed by Andrew Stadler and produced by Simon Ardoin won the Best Film Award. ‘Beacon’ also bagged additional three awards. Best Animated Film, Best Producer & Best Sound Design (Chad Gutierrez). Filmmaker Patricia M Fox (United States) won the Best Director award for her film ‘Thirst’. The film also won two other awards (Roy Taylor won the Best Supporting Actor & Erin Roberts won the Special Mention in Acting).

‘I See You’ from the United States won the best student film which was directed and produced by Kristen Desantis & Corey Davis. Dante Tanikie-Montagnani’s ‘F*ck You Cannes’ (United Kingdom) won the Best Documentary award. ‘Julian and the Purple Moon’ from the United States directed and produced by Sergio Luis Bauza Jr. won the Best Stop Motion Film. Fouad Reeves won the Best Actor award and Mireille Fiévet won the Best Actress Award for their performance in the film Under Tension (France)

Best Experimental Film: ‘Mata-Mata’ (Philippines). Directed by Direk Bee and produced by Eleanor Lopez.

Best Supporting Actress: Kristen Desantis for the film ‘I See You’ (United States).

Best Cinematographer: Midhun Eravil for the film ‘Vazhiye’ (India).

Best Editor: Dmitri Frolov for the film ‘Above the Lake’ (Russia).

Best Original Score: Evan Evans for the film ‘Vazhiye’ (India).

Best Sound Design: Chad Gutierrez for the film ‘Beacon’ (United States).

Best Art Director: Mireille Fiévet for the film ‘Under Tension’ (France).

Best Makeup: Aurore Michaud for the film ‘Under Tension’ (France).

Best Visual Effects: Corey Davis for the film ‘I See You’ (United States).

Best Trailer: Anthony Robin for the film ‘Under Tension’ (France).

Best Poster: Anne Lise Schaeffer for the film ‘Under Tension’ (France).

Special Mention In Direction: Dmitri Frolov for the film ‘Above the Lake’ (Russia).

Special Mention In Cinematography: Kristen DeSantis for the film ‘I See You’ (United States).

Special Mention In Acting: Dan Lopez for the film ‘Mata-Mata’ (Philippines).
